蘋果推出iPhone 16e，是iPhone 16系列中最入門機型，同時也是蘋果最便宜AI手機，售價2萬1900元起，iPhone 16e最大亮點在於搭載自家研發的5G數據機晶片C1，正式取代高通的組件，但由高通委託進行的一項獨立研究發現，其5G效能表現明顯差於搭載高通晶片的Android手機。
根據Cellular Insights測試，搭載高通Snapdragon X75和X80數據機的Android手機，在下載速度最高比iPhone 16e快35%，上傳速度更快了91%。而且iPhone 16e還容易出現過熱的問題。
核心測試結果如下，搭載高通晶片Android手機下載速度，比iPhone 16e快34.3%~35.2%，上傳速度比iPhone 16e快81.4%~91%，而且測試時iPhone 16e經常出現表面過熱的現象。
