胡瓜的Youtube頻道「下面一位」最新一集邀請到王識賢，因應對方演出的戲劇角色，他們來到刺青店體驗一下「當老大」的感覺。而王識賢飾演黑道角色相當傳神，其實跟童年環境有關係，他從小住大稻埕，家裡又開茶藝館，在相關文化耳濡目染下，便融入角色裡。
胡瓜和王識賢認識時他是歌手身分，有著許多膾炙人口的歌曲，像「雙人枕頭」、「雪中紅」等等，經典歌曲讓胡瓜讚嘆連連。但王識賢面露無奈，表示當時歌紅人不紅，沒有什麼打歌機會，王識賢也證實，那時想要上胡瓜的節目宣傳真的頗有難度，只能在一旁默默地望著。
王識賢透露，其實「家後」原本是鄭進一寫給他的，對方甚至在電話中邊唱邊哭。不過王識賢覺得自己駕馭不了這首歌，反而認為給江蕙唱一定紅，便把此曲讓給了對方。
談到得獎，王識賢爆料有一年報紙在比誰金曲獎槓龜了最多次，原本已經槓龜8次的王識賢不想要再繼續報名，結果看到榜首是胡瓜，讓他燃起了一些信心，再鼓起勇氣，也如願得獎，在一旁的胡瓜聽到哭笑不得，不過胡瓜豁達大方的態度也讓王識賢敬佩。
聊起王識賢踏入戲劇的起源，起初是唱了戲劇的主題曲，劇組看王識賢的外型還不錯，便問他對拍戲有沒有興趣，只不過要到泰國拍攝，但經費不足所以沒有酬勞，王識賢也欣然答應，結果也是人生第一次出國的他不曉得泰國天氣炎熱，便帶了許多厚重的衣服，鬧出了一個小烏龍，讓他至今想起來還是印象深刻。
