影音平台 YouTube 宣布，在美國正式啟用人工智慧（AI）年齡預測機制，即便使用者註冊時填寫的年齡已滿18 歲，也可能被系統重新判定為未成年人，並自動啟動「青少年模式」保護措施，包括禁止投放個人化廣告、啟用數位健康提醒，並限制觀看與推薦部分內容。
據美聯社報導，這套AI年齡驗證系統不依賴用戶輸入的出生日期，而是透過演算法評估實際年齡。一旦系統判斷用戶未滿 18 歲，YouTube 將套用平台既有的未成年人保護規範，避免其接觸被視為不適齡的影片與互動功能。
相關安全措施包括提醒觀眾適時休息、提供隱私警告，以及限制影片推薦內容。若用戶被歸類為未成年，平台也不會顯示針對個人偏好的廣告，降低資料蒐集與精準行銷的風險。
